Whitney and Jevan Engaged?

Oh no!

Yes, Jevan and Whitney got engaged to be married, on the Third of March, 2001 A.D.
A day that may or may not live in infamy.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q:  Is one of you dying?  What's the rush to get engaged?
A:  No!  Don't worry about the "rush", we're not getting married until May 2002, after we both have
        graduated from college.

Q:  How did he propose?
A:  We took a walk in some isolated woods west of West Lafayette, Indiana (Jevan's hometown), and
Whitney was asked next to a quiet stream in the middle of a beautiful valley on one of the first warm
days of spring.  Yes, she cried from happiness!  And even agreed to marry him.  Awww...

Q:  So what's the ring like?
A:  The ring was designed by Jevan personally.  Months of refining the design and selecting the gems
took place prior to March.  The ring is very traditionally styled, with one magnificent diamond
in the center of the face, and two bezel set rubies on either side.  The ring is made of 18K yellow
gold, and is fairly stout.  To see some pictures of the ring, click here!

Q:  When and where will the wedding be?
A:   May 26, 2002, at 5:30 in the evening.   It will be near Whitney's home in California, on a horse ranch
in Malibu called Saddle Rock Ranch.  It's going to be outdoors in a big open grassy space, with
pretty views of the hills around it, and a big open sky above.  The reception will be there too.

Q:  Then what?
A:  We're both going to grad school!  We are applying to schools that are close to each other so that we
can be together.  Our options are:
            The San Francisco Bay Area,
            Ann Arbor, Michigan,
            Boston, Massachusetts,   and
Lebanon, Indiana (because it's between W. Lafayette and Indianapolis, and also they have a
                Wendy's there).
We'll find out where we get accepted in March or April of 2002, and then we can decide where to
        go.

Q:  Um, are you gonna, ya know, have children?
A:  Of course, someday!  Kids are awesome.  But we're not going to be parents for many years, so don't
hold your breath.  =]  If you're curious, see the computer simulation below!
